Reviews are starting to appear for DK’s Simply Chemistry including the above comment, along with the note: ‘A book everyone should read’. As part of Dorling Kindersley’s Simply series, this title covers one concise concept per page, with colourful diagrams that we have annotated in detail. The format is created and designed to feel fresh and enticing, without missing out any of the important vocabulary or ideas you might expect in weightier tomes.

I was responsible for the chapters in this book on Atoms, Chemicals, parts of Processes and Industrial Chemistry, and all the short chapter introductions. It was great to consider concepts throughout chemistry with a view to communicating them in a novel way, specifying the illustrations as I went.

My fellow authors were Kat Day and Victoria Atkinson, and the consultant was Andy Extance. The title is now available at bookshops worldwide. I will also have copies at the Oxford Indie Book Fair on Sunday 22nd November.
